Late Thank You's: We failed to give thanks to Neil Fulwiler for
the two beautiful hand made hunting knives he donated for our Game Feed. Also,
thanks to the membership, this was the largest gross and net return ever. Our
club grossed $16,800 and net return was $11,572.
Upcoming Events:The Mule Deer Foundation banquet will be held at
the Chelan County Farigrouds on April 12th. Doors open at 3:00pm with dinner at
5:00pm. Contact person is Tracy Manning at 884-1928 or cell # 668-1588. The

Chapter) will have their banquet at the Chelan County Fairgrounds May 17th.
Doors open at 4:30pm with dinner at 6:30pm. For tickets contact Wayne
Christensen at 663-3761 and for general information contact Nick Brunner at
665-2422. The Lake Chelan Sportsman's Association will have their annual
Mackinaw Fishing Derby on Lake Chelan. The event starts Friday evening, with
awards starting at noon Sunday. Tickets can be purchased in Chelan and at
Hooked On Toys. Contact people are Al Brooks at 509-687-6187 or Anton Jones at
509-687-0709. There will be a Mother's Day kids (juvenile) Fishing Derby, May
11th at the Lake Chelan Golf Course. No sponsorship fee's needed nor is there
an entrance fee. However, they could certainly use lots of adult volunteers.
Start time and contact person is not known at this time. Dave Graybill is
looking for financial sponsors to buy youth fishing tackle and radio ads for
the following juvenile fishing events. Rock Island ponds April 19th and the
Leavenworth juvenile pond May 17th. Sponsorship is $200 per event. Dave is also
looking for a $300 sponsorship for a "Lake Chelan Fishing Kids" on
June 7th. This event is one of 12 (C.A.S.T) held across the state. A $5.00
entrance fee includes rod, reel and 'T'Shirt. Contact Dave at 548-6652.
Department Report:Bob Perleberg reports ---- statewide lowland
lake fishing opens April 26th. The time and location to set the 2003-05 hunting
seasons will be held at the Moses Lake Convention Center on April 11-12. You
can contact Bob at 662-0542 for times. The new hunting and fishing pamphlets
will be out around May 1st. Turkey season opens April 15th. You need to
purchase your new hunting and fishing licenses soon as the costs of such will
surely go up due to our states financial situation.
Donated Miles and Worked Hours:Each year our membership is asked
to keep a record of their volunteer hours worked and miles driven. Log this
information right away and then call Gene Robard at 662-6277. Gene has agreed
to compile this information for our 2004 game feed. If you have a lead person
on a project, make sure he gets those hours and miles to Gene also.
Work Party:Neil Fulwiler has a spring projet scheduled for April
12th. Bring bad weather gear, lunch and water. Pete has plenty of tools. Meet
at Pete's headquarters at 8:00am.
