Cancelled Work Party:The Lake Chelan work project has been
cancelled according to Tom McCall. The project was to move deer pellets on the
North Shore across from 25 Mile Creek.
Correction:: The last issue listed John Krause's business as
"Krauses's Gun Bedding" and it should be called "Krause's Gun
Repair". His business is located in the One Shot Firearm's building and
phone is 860-1060.
Department Report:Bob Perleberg reports the special permits are
due June 22nd which is a Sunday. They can be purchased only by phone or on the
internet. Free fishing day for kids and adults is June 7th and 8th. Bear season
runs from August 1 through November 15th. This is 12 days longer than before.

looking for volunteers to help trap doves in July and August. If interested he

includes rod and reel and 'T' shirt. Contact Dave at 509-548-6652.
Last Newsletter For The Year:This will be the last newsletter
until September. The board wishes to thank the membership for all your help and
support. Have a great summer and keep your eyes and ears open for speakers or
other program materials for next year. Also, we are always open to suggestions
and / or changes. Give a board member a call and share your thoughts. If you
have something for the newsletter, Bill Stegeman needs it by the 20th of each
month.
Reporting Miles and Hours:Gene Robards at 662-6277 is getting
lonely, he hasn't received any reports of our work hours and miles driven. The
Department staff locally knows what is going on and what we are doing but we
need to let the Olympia office know.
Program:Our June program will have John Krause talking to the
group about rifle accurizing. This will help improve markmanship. The September
programs is usually Tom McCall or Beau Patterson giving us an update on hunting
prospects for the up coming seasons.
