General Meeting: March 16, 2010
Steel Workers Hall – 180 Rock Island Road – East Wenatchee
Game Feed: “Sportsman of the Year” for
2010 is Mike Jacobucci for his active involvement with Game Feed kitchen,
volunteer projects and club activities.
Gene Robards was recognized as last year’s sportsman of the year and for
his work as Game Feed chairman. A
Distinguished Service award was given to Sherry Poppe for volunteer and
organizational work. Special Service
awards went to Sharon Rose for her volunteer work and Jim Hope for his work on
volunteer activities and donations for the Game Feed. Retirees receiving special recognition were
Bill Stegeman stepping down from the Secretary position; Ike Cummings from
publishing and mailing the monthly newsletter and Gordon Goodwin from running
the youth program.
Once again, Gene Robards and the Game Feed committee
put on another great evening. They spent
many hours planning, coordinating events and soliciting donations for the
auctions, games and raffles. Thanks to
the folks who came out to work on set up and tear down and those who worked on
the kitchen crew and event activities.
And special thanks to all the people who came out and participated,
helping us raise money to conserve and preserve fish, wildlife and habitat.
Special recognition to the many merchants and
individuals, who donated, purchased or made items that were used for the Game
Feed. Please patronize the businesses
that make it possible for us to fulfill our mission and mention to them that
their help is appreciated.
